Comparing Satellite Imagery Built between 2005 and 2006, Arsenal Football Club's Emirates stadium is a good example with which to compare the main map sites. It's neighbouring Highbury Stadium was decommissioned and partly demolished in in the Autumn of 2006. The images below were grabbed during August 2008.
Google Maps (above) shows the Emirates Stadium under construction with Highbury in full use. It's maximum view (below) shows a good level of detail on the Highbury pitch.
Google's Live View (above) is not available in the UK yet but, as we see in the example of New York's Shea Stadium, it provides a clear street level shot of areas located on the main map.
Yahoo maps (above) shows the beginnings of stadium construction on the industrial estate that previously occupied its site. This dates it to around Summer 2005. Yahoo's maximum zoom (below) is poor in comparison, but the image does give a good enough historical view of the land just as construction changed the landscape.
Multimap shows no stadium construction on the site, dating it to before Summer 2005. It's a clear image with historical value and a better level of zoom (see beloe) than Yahoo, although not as up to date or in depth as Google.
Multimap does have a "killer app" in the shape of its "Bird's Eye" view (see various angles below), which not only gives an interesting perspective and good level of zoom, it is also more up to date than its rivals.
